How to get discounted movie passes to AMC and Regal Theaters

Picture
Next Stage is a company that offers discount movie passes with a membership.   Normally the membership cost $49.99 and offers you two years of buying movie passes to AMC or Regal Theaters for only $6.70.  You can the membership through this link for only $19.99.    The benefits of the membership are that for 2 years you can buy an unlimited amount of passes,  they are good seven days a week at over 25,000 theaters worldwide, and they never expire.   You can also give an unlimited number of discounted movie passes as gifts.

Of course, there is some fine print.  They do require an one-time fee of $10 for shipping/handling/activation of membership (which is a little ridiculous).   If you want to use the passes for a movie that is less than 10 days old, it will cost $2 more.  There is also an additional charge for IMAX and 3D movies.  (Personally, I can't wait until the whole 3D thing goes away.  It gives me a headache.)

So is it worth it, and will it really save you any money?  The answer is maybe.  If it is not going to save YOU money, I don't want you to buy it!  The AMC Evansville 16 Theater on Pearl Drive in Evansville charges $9.50 for an adult ticket.  (Gulp!)  The membership fee is $19.99, plus the $10 "activation fee".  By my calculations, if you buy more than ten movie passes in two years (which is only 2 1/2 movies a year if you go with a friend), then YES, it will save you money.

My advice:  get a couple of your friends together, split the cost, give everyone the password so  everyone can print their passes whenever they want, and watch cheap movies to your hearts desire.   Why should you be the only one saving money?   You can buy the discounted membership through this link.
